The agency provides drug abuse services for people of all ages. Services include adult diversion, a drop-in center, drug education and prevention, comprehensive outpatient drug and alcohol treatment, twelve-step groups and parenting, education services. Services are provided at several sites; see site list for details. There are no geographic restrictions.

The adult diversion program is a voluntary, court-supervised recovery program which provides an alternative to criminal conviction. The program is supervised by a judge from the West District Coordinated Drug Court. Participation is limited to non-violent drug users who have been deemed eligible by prosecutors and court officials. The program involves individual and group counseling, drug testing and 12-step group participation. The program, is a three phase recovery program consisting of detoxification, maintenance assistance and employment and vocational/educational training. Charges are dropped for individuals who successfully complete the program.

Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services has been providing quality mental health and substance abuse treatment in Southern California since 1942. With 11 centers throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties, the agency serves more than 70,000 individuals a year and provides a variety of services, including:

  • Counseling for families that find themselves in emotional trouble
  • Help for individuals with serious psychiatric conditions
  • Substance abuse and prevention counseling for teenagers and adults
  • Community outreach for people affected by a traumatic event
  • Training programs for M.A., M.S.W., M.F.T. and Ph.D./Psy.D. candidates
